How I Finally Increased My Confidence in Speaking (It Wasn't By "Going Out")
As an introvert who has spent most of his time in a confined space, I didn't just enjoy my personal bubble—I was trapped in it.
I wasn't going out, I wasn't participating in college events, and I certainly wasn't talking to friends.
I feared talking to people.
Overthinking and depression weren't just moods; they were my daily habits.
I would wake up with tons of stressful thoughts and go to sleep with the exact same thoughts.
Then came the internship season in my college.
I did well in an Online test of a company but In that interview, I understood how bad I actually was at communication.
On realization, I tried to fix it the "normal" way.
I forced myself to go out. I spent 6 months making friends and talking to different people. I did everything the self-help articles told me to do.
But I still wasn't confident.
Deep down, I was still that kid in the confined room. I was acting confident, but I didn't feel it. I was just waiting to mess up again.
Then, I came to Vibesy.
I heard my voice speaking English so fluently and that too in my real voice, I was a little excited as I did not know my voice could be this good.
I practiced hearing myself use new words. I trained my brain to recognize that confident sound as the "real" me.
Now, whenever I walk into a conversation or an interview, I don't panic. In my mind, I already know how I will speak.
If you are stuck in your room right now, thinking you’re broken—you aren’t. You just haven't heard your true voice yet.
